Tonight, I am pooped. What a great day of painting and dodging rain, no, thunderstorms. Thank you everyone who knew me and came out to the fair and also to those who did not know but took the time to talk with me about the opportunity we had. It was a great day. 3 paintings, 4 cloudbursts, 2 frames, a crew of outstanding volunteers at the fair, 2 potential commissions ( thanks) and what will hopefully be a few sales from the day. My gallery, above, may not be perfect, here are my images from the day. PLEASE, share your thoughts and memories, contact me if you’re interested in the skyglider painting, that one is with me. The other two… Visit the fair and see them in the Expo Building.

What a great day of Art in the Park in Lake Geneva, WI. I TOTALLY forgot that it was even happening today – but the crowd didn’t forget. What a busy, busy few hours. Great to talk to all of the art goers and especially the hard workers at Marina Bay. The kids were excited to be a part of a painting – so much so – the work was bought at the end of the day. Thanks again guys and gals. Fun to meet and talk with you all. TOMORROW – the WI STATE FAIR!
#Dinner in #Lake Geneva with my #Family
While my family is the more important part of tonight’s dinner, were settling in and gathering our thoughts while we wait for the pizza. I am taking a moment to celebrate ther newest investment in my art company… Business Cards! These are from the online company Moo.com and are mini cards. Neat. Next time you run into me, ask for one. Here’s my family too. Time for tic tac toe.
#ThreeStoriesUp… a view of #LakeGeneva I didn’t actually see
What a beautiful day in Lake Geneva! The sun was out, the winds were low and the shoppers were really polite and interested. I look forward to another day tomorrow as I get out and continue to work on my approach to the Plein Air paintings. My approach is coming along… I just have to keep at it. Thanks to Julie for her continues support in my passion of painting.

A truly wonderful evening in Lake Geneva today. I spent a good deal of time enjoying the smells of the restaurant Sopra and viewing the stores across the street. One of my last paintings was a view of Sopra from the very spot I painted tonight. A wonderful number of people stopped by and inquired about my work and at the end of the evening a beautiful family, the Kendall’s (Danielle, Jason, Kela and Micah) who were visiting from California purchased tonight’s painting. They watched the work develop from blank page to the finished work. Thank you for your interest in my work. I truly appreciate it.

“Early Tuesday Evening” in #LakeGeneva with #PleinAir #Painting and #SOLD
Wonderful evening in downtown Lake Geneva. The individuals that I met tonight: Art Teacher, Store Owners, Theater Actor, kids of all ages… the ideas shared and comments made were really great and appreciated. Thanks all. I am anxious to get back to the streets on Thursday. And thanks to Mary, Ann, and Ginger for the purchases of THREE watercolors! Enjoy!
Today in #LakeGeneva – #NoRain
Thanks to Ken Cottingham – resident painter and teacher in Lake Geneva – for the hospitality, conversation, and snack as I worked feverishly in my latest painting. Working hard to capture the ideas of the store fronts in Lake Geneva, I had many a conversation with tourists and locals alike. Thank you to everyone that stopped by. That said – If I had a dollar for everyone who “liked” my work – I’d be making some money while out there. That’s ok though… it’s not the reason (well – it is one of the reasons but not THE reason) I am out there. Now… I HAVE to get that darn scooter working better. Ugh.
