Thank you Abby for taking me to see Idina Menzel in Chicago. We had a great time at the show and a great time seeing a bit of Chicago. Thank you so much for the fun time. Here are some pictures and my painting from the evening. Idina was a GREAT performerns and the musicians were great too. Hello to our neighbors on the lawn!

A truly wonderful evening in Lake Geneva today. I spent a good deal of time enjoying the smells of the restaurant Sopra and viewing the stores across the street. One of my last paintings was a view of Sopra from the very spot I painted tonight. A wonderful number of people stopped by and inquired about my work and at the end of the evening a beautiful family, the Kendall’s (Danielle, Jason, Kela and Micah) who were visiting from California purchased tonight’s painting. They watched the work develop from blank page to the finished work. Thank you for your interest in my work. I truly appreciate it.

I’ve had a productive few weeks.

Here are a few of my newest works. It is WONDERFUL to be back into the making of art. Sometimes the rest of life is so much that the few moments of art making do not happen. These are 5 new works – one was sold at the Open Canvas event in Milwaukee and the smallest monochromatic work is still wet – in oils. (Smells GREAT!).

Once again, but with a moving twist, I offer a brief glimpse of the works currently on display (and for sale) at Cafe LuLu in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI. When you happen to be in the neighborhood – please stop in and take a look. My family and I had a great lunch there and this is a short video of the works. Also… mark your calendars for September 27 when the ENTIRE BAY VIEW Neighborhood opens their artistic doors to celebrate the artwork, artists, art galleries, and art spaces that Bay View, Milwaukee has to offer. New Exhibition… 10 Years Since Last Cafe LuLu Show

Thanks to Cam Roberts at the Bay Milwaukee staple for a good meal, great times, and awesome art (mine notwithstanding, I hope) CAFE LuLu. The show went up in record time: 3 hours SOLO. I lost one work to a 12 foot drop but… I hope to have it up and in place on Wednesday afternoon. I am really pleased with the showing – perhaps you can see the groups that were made as you look things over. This exhibition of works will be on display through October so… while it is there, get in and check it out. I hope to get a lot of comments, feedback, and followers. Milwaukee Gallery Night is this Friday, but Bay View’s Gallery night is in September – enjoy the show.

Making Plans to Create an “One Week Painting”

Ok… This is a blog from another site of mine, but the amount of images is a A LOT to copy over… well… the gallery portion is. I took a moment to stop at the Art*Bar in Milwaukee to check out what the artist did on Sunday evening to work OVER my painting… it was AWESOME! There is still KORB painting left. Thank you!

The Art Bar 2009-2010 WINNER

The winner of one of 10 BEST PAINTINGS from 2009-10
19 March 2010, artists from all over Wisconsin (and maybe some from other parts of the country – heck World) converged upon Don Krause’s ART BAR at 722 East Burleigh Street in Milwaukee, WI to celebrate yet another successful year of paintings. 52 paintings were painted and then photographed so the celebration could have a wall of paintings and a slide show to visually take us through the year, one painting at a time. From gluttony to sea monkeys, flying eggs to the Art Bar itself (mine) the paintings were the stringest Mr. Krause has seen since the whole event started. For the second time in 5 years, Abby and I took a place of honor upon the wall of the Art Bar as one of Don’s favorite paintings for the year. I have already scheduled myself for July 25th so make sure you save that date… I sure hope I have saved tat date. Enjoy the pictures!
