Thank you Abby for taking me to see Idina Menzel in Chicago. We had a great time at the show and a great time seeing a bit of Chicago. Thank you so much for the fun time. Here are some pictures and my painting from the evening. Idina was a GREAT performerns and the musicians were great too. Hello to our neighbors on the lawn!
Thank you to all the artists and patrons who came to the first run at a home art show and sale. The conversations that were had, the connections made were wonderful. Special thanks to Stephanie Wiedenhoeft (Your Personal Art Consultant) – my art representative – in setting up and organizing the show. Also thanks to Paul Matzner for making great photographs of the show. Please visit Your Personal Art Consultant on Facebook (http://goo.gl/Qkf201) and take a look at all that Stephanie has to offer!
Thank you Jeff Kursel and all those who helped make the 2013 Open canvas at the Pritzlaff Building in Milwaukee, WI so FUN and SUCCESSFUL! While I have NO IDEA as to the final donations from the silent auction, the people that were there were truly wonderful to talk to. Your generosity to support the Visual Arts… AWESOME. I had some incredibly wonderful conversations on Saturday night, November 23. I wish I could remember ALL your names… but THANK YOU for making my night so much fun. Especially to Kathleen Tatterson at River Edge gallery in Thiensville, WI and to Maya Scherer from Burton and Mayer, Inc. for their, as well as many others, inquiries about my work. thank you to Sophie Okin and fellow artist Scott Okin for their wonderful conversation. My friend Frank Juarez, new colleagues and future friends… this was wonderful to see you all and make new connections. The painting and making were only part of the fun. I enjoyed the conversations more than anything. But… because the finished product is fun to see… here you go. Thank you Tina Gallup for bidding on “Walking the Path of the Awakened” AND “In Our Confusion, It Can Always Be.” You and your husband are now the second biggest collector of my works. THANK YOU! Here is a view of the evening! Enjoy! Please visit the rest of my pages… Frank
Once again, but with a moving twist, I offer a brief glimpse of the works currently on display (and for sale) at Cafe LuLu in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI. When you happen to be in the neighborhood – please stop in and take a look. My family and I had a great lunch there and this is a short video of the works. Please, stop in and check out the works, have a GREAT MEAL, and contact me when you are interested in the works. Also… mark your calendars for September 27 when the ENTIRE BAY VIEW Neighborhood opens their artistic doors to celebrate the artwork, artists, art galleries, and art spaces that Bay View, Milwaukee has to offer. I will be at Café LuLu to talk and chat… I hope to see you, and all your friends, there!
Thanks to the Inspiration of Blouin Art Info‘s Southampton Art Fair (the Third and LARGEST art fair in Southampton), and the 60 works in 60 seconds video produced to publicize the show (Link Here). I present to you 34 Works of Art in 50 seconds. The video of my works (with music presented by YouTube – Thanks) I offer a brief glimpse of the works currently on display (and for sale) at Cafe LuLu in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI. If you happen to be in the neighborhood – please stop in and take a look. If you are in Southampton, do the same for their show!
Thanks to Cam Roberts at the Bay Milwaukee staple for a good meal, great times, and awesome art (mine notwithstanding, I hope) CAFE LuLu. The show went up in record time: 3 hours SOLO. I lost one work to a 12 foot drop but… I hope to have it up and in place on Wednesday afternoon. I am really pleased with the showing – perhaps you can see the groups that were made as you look things over. This exhibition of works will be on display through October so… while it is there, get in and check it out. I hope to get a lot of comments, feedback, and followers. Milwaukee Gallery Night is this Friday, but Bay View’s Gallery night is in September – enjoy the show.
Stop back for more images SOON.
Ok… This is a blog from another site of mine, but the amount of images is a A LOT to copy over… well… the gallery portion is. I took a moment to stop at the Art*Bar in Milwaukee to check out what the artist did on Sunday evening to work OVER my painting… it was AWESOME! There is still KORB painting left. Thank you!
Once a year, I get the opportunity to create a temporary artwork at the Art*Bar in Milwaukee, WI. The Art*Bar is exactly what it sounds like, a Bar that has no wall advertising for the adult beverages that it serves, but rather walls full of real, live, legitimate Art (with a capital A). To see MORE of my art and the PURCHASE MORE of my art (nudge nudge…) please visit frankkorb.com and get in tough with me through my e-mail there.
After September 11, 2001 occurred, and the world was still reeling from the shock, “Don Krause, then 42, took the event as a personal wake-up call and sought out a place to cultivate his Riverwest dream, to create a unique tavern. “I never told anyone what I was working on and I didn’t know when it was going to open,” says Krause. “I had never done anything like it before.”…
