Hello Scott Brothers Entertainment!

Hello to all of you involved in the Scott Brothers Entertainment Company. I know the cold call (well, not quite cold – a query letter was the first step) is something that probably comes frequently, but I am glad the call brought you to my site. Thank you in advance.

Please take your time in carefully perusing the works. I have many more that are available and ALL are available. Please enjoy your stay and I sincerely look forward to speaking with you and your representatives.

Congratulations, by the way, on all of your successes!

Frank

#New #Abstraction #Paintings in #Watercolor of #2014 and #2015!

I’ve been approaching my new works since just before the holidays and with a new focus on movement and colors. This is a revisit from a number of years ago, and is a welcome approach to my current paintings. The newest pieces are watercolor on paper with collage of ink jet copies of Thomas À Kempis’ work “The Imitation of Christ.” I was inspired to grab the 1400’s book off of my own bookshelf due to a book review my brother, New York author Scott Korb, wrote for “‘Christ Actually’ argues for belief through imitation” by James Carroll published in the the LA Times Jacket Copy.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Too.

Hope you have a great Christmas and holiday season.

It’s a good time to reflect on the season and be thankful for all that one has. I’m thankful for all of the opportunities that have come my way, exhibitions, shows, sales (let me know how many works you’d like and I’ll deliver them to you), and connections. Most importantly, I am thankful for my family. Through good times and bad… it’s all I’ve got and I’m glad that’s who I’ve got. Thank you family.

Tonight in the ER

I am fine, but sometimes one finds themselves in an ER. That’s all the information I’ll put out there on that. But… As an artist, I’m always looking to draw, to make my mark. Here is “Balance of Power,” and “Which is Sort of In” green pen on Styrofoam cup.

I’ve had a productive few weeks.

Here are a few of my newest works. It is WONDERFUL to be back into the making of art. Sometimes the rest of life is so much that the few moments of art making do not happen. These are 5 new works – one was sold at the Open Canvas event in Milwaukee and the smallest monochromatic work is still wet – in oils. (Smells GREAT!).

If you are interested in ANY of the works – please contact me and I will drive it out to your house and hang it on your wall!

#OpenCanvas TONIGHT #Art, #Painting, and #Scholarship

Tonight! Open Canvas night in Milwaukee. Pritzlaff Building (333 N Plankinton). 6:00 public arrives… $55 donation. I am in this year… Thank you Jeff Kursel for organizing and inviting me again. Sign up on my mailing list (under BIO above) to get more information and to stay in the loop!

Live Locally, Live Beautifully.

Thank you to all the artists and patrons who came to the first run at a home art show and sale. The conversations that were had, the connections made were wonderful. Special thanks to Stephanie Wiedenhoeft (Your Personal Art Consultant) – my art representative – in setting up and organizing the show. Also thanks to Paul Matzner for making great photographs of the show. Please visit Your Personal Art Consultant on Facebook  (http://goo.gl/Qkf201) and take a look at all that Stephanie has to offer!

Roller Coasters at Six Flags Great America

My day at Great America.  This was a great day with (sort of) with Abby Korb. She and a friend were out and about hitting all of the roller coasters at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL while I found 5 great places to sit and appreciate the weather and sights at the park. The paintings are all watercolor and 7.5″ x 9″ – perfect for any roller coaster lover’s (or theme park owner’s) wall. I am REALLY enjoying the process of the watercolor landscapes and plein air paintings. I hope you are enjoying them also. Interested? Many folks at Six Flags Great America were. Enjoy!

Mr. Korb Goes to Washington. Seriously. This Tuesday.
