Sketchbook and my First Painting

MARN (the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network) has a sketchbook project for their new space opening up this (or next) year. Each artist that purchased a book fills it up and sends it back for their sketchbook collection. I have filled mine (link HERE to see them all) and am now realizing some of them in a larger format. Please click HERE to see the progress of “Waking Up To This Moment.” Enjoy!

A new day is here. Six new works find their place in the world. The world finds itself in a better place.

Six New Works – Titles are there – I just need to photograph them separately. 6″ x 6″ each. Acrylic and collage on paper. 2020. $100 each.

The past months (years) have created in me (and others) a sense of strife, anxiety, anger, and worry. Not only because of the political decisions that had been made in the oval office but also because of the divide and rise of hate, division, lack of acceptance of everyone. In addition, the acceptance of the behaviors, words, discrimination, racism (and the list goes on) has caused me (and others) a great deal of concern for the moral compass that this country is using as a guide. Over the past year I have been creating works that are specific to the fight we, as a nation, are in. I am a liberal. I am a progressive. I am a Democrat. Above all that I am an American. Above even that I am human who is concerned for all humanity.

Here are my works. Enjoy. Ask questions. Inquire. They are all for sale (that’s what a website is for right? For sale unless otherwise noted). Thanks for visiting.

We’ve been #BLUE lately – #VOTE on Tuesday November 3, 2020 : #864511032020

VOTE… That is all.

Not your typical Korb

While the need to create abstractly drives the bulk of my work, as an artist I do like to work out other ideas as well. Enjoy these pieces all created in late September and Early October of 2020. Enjoy!

4 New Works – Yet to be Titled

As I continue to explore relationships, old ones, new ones, and changing ones, I find it is a good idea to work in series; 2, 9 (as a final 1), and now these 4. The new colors, the larger distance in the creation process with a closeness in the imagery, aesthetic, and context. Blocking out the outside edges of reality and looking, seeing closely the inside is the idea. What is happening on the inside – the inner workings of the individual? Enjoy.

The Elements and Principles of Art… Art Trading Cards.

Working with the ideas of the Elements and Principles is ALWAYS a part, an emphasis of the work I do. These 9 cards are works that will be together for only a short period of time and will be separated and given / traded away. Here are the Elements and Principles and some short definitions of the terms.

A Few New Works.

It’s been a busy past month. Working through the end of summer, moving a daughter out to Washington D.C., preparing for a final art exhibition with the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network, getting ready for school (face to face and virtual). Here are my newest works. Everything is for sale (eventually) and I am always looking for commissions and representation. Thank you for visiting. – Frank

Saturday – July 25 – I got to do what few people in the state of Wisconsin get to do this year, and I was at the Wisconsin State Fair! Not a lot of people walking around. Driving around however, there were a ton! I worked with 4 other Plein Air Painters and we were part of the Mini Plein Air at the Fair. The sales of these paintings will benefit the Wisconsin State Fair Foundation. Please visit their sales site HERE ( and BUY one of the 6 (at the time of this posting) paintings. Mine would be great! But any or all of them would be fine as well.
